The Chemex Coffee Maker was invented in 1941 by Dr Peter Schlumbohm. The design of the device was based on the experience gained by this talented chemist. The one-piece hourglass-shaped vessel is made of high-quality heat-resistant glass. The role of the handle is performed by an entwined wooden collar with a thong. The glass of which the Chemex is made does not absorb odours and therefore in no way affects the taste of the brewed coffee. Production takes place in the United States.
In addition to its functionality, Chemex stands out for its incredible design. Its visual elegance can be admired on permanent display at New York's Museum of Modern Art. In addition, it was selected by the Illinois Institute of Technology as one of the 100 best-designed products of modern times.
Making your favourite coffee with the Chemex Coffee Maker is incredibly easy and takes 4 - 6 minutes. In addition to the Chemex, all you need is paper filters and good coffeewhich should be poured in water (6-7g of coffee per 100ml of water).
