Why is Colombian Queen X El Puente so special that we decided to leave it with us permanently?
El Puente is a joint initiative between Aromas del Sur, El Mirador and Clearpath Coffee. It is not just a project, but a real bridge connecting small farmers to the global specialty coffee market. By working directly with more than 300 small farms, El Puente gives coffee producers access to modern technology and markets, resulting in better livelihoods and economic stability.
The Finca Las Flores farm in the Acevedo region, Huila, is the heart of this project. Located in the southern part of Colombia, this region is renowned for its excellent climatic and geographical conditions, which favour the cultivation of coffee with unique flavour profiles. The volcanic soils and altitude create ideal conditions for the development of a variety of flavour notes.

A blend of botanical varieties, including Caturra and Castillo, among others, which are sourced from small farmers in the Huila region of Colombia. The careful selection of cherries from different farms gives the coffee a unique complexity and richness of flavour, which is the result of a combination of multi-family labour and unique microclimates
The coffee is processed using the honey and natural method, which emphasises its sweetness and complexity of flavours.
