Christmas is a special time. It is, of course, a truism and a clich\u00e9, a worn-out phrase with which corporations justify the galloping commercialisation of this very Christmas. But clich\u00e9s are clich\u00e9s by virtue of being simply obvious and true, only overused. And so it is in this case. What has coffee beans<\/strong> with Christmas? Read on!<\/p>\n

<\/h4>\n

Coffee beans for Christmas will ensure special moments<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Coffee is an integral part of Christmas celebrations all over virtually the world. It is an Icelandic Christmas tradition to drink coffee flavoured with winter spices<\/strong> (cloves, cinnamon, ginger), or 'J\u00f3lagl\u00f6gg'. Greenlanders (staying around the Arctic Circle) at Christmas, get together for what is known as kaffemik. They feast in numerous groups copiously drinking coffee with equally copiously served Christmas specialities. These include marzipan cakes, apple tarts and seal or reindeer dishes, not to forget fish soup and blinis stuffed with roe.<\/p>\n

<\/h4>\n

In Sweden, one sips coffee, specially baked for the occasion, with Vetebr\u00f6d. It is a sweet yeasty bread with cinnamon and sultanas, but by virtue of being eaten exclusively with coffee, it is simply called coffee bread, or Kaffebr\u00f6d. The French drink their perfectly brewed coffee at Christmas to an exquisite and sweet Yule roll. The Italians, with their family, sip their sweet yeasty panettone bread with Caff\u00e8 Corretto, or espresso<\/strong> further enhanced with a drip of grappa or liqueur.<\/p>\n

The Americans serve Egg Nog Latte<\/strong>, which is a creamy coffee with eggs, milk and nutmeg. In Brazil, the festive ritual is caf\u00e9zinho, which is a sweet little coffee accompanied by rabanadas, slices of fried bread sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon. In Mexico at Christmas it is, of course, spicy. Caf\u00e9 de Olla is a spicy coffee, enriched with cinnamon and cane sugar, served with tamales, sweets steamed in corn husks.<\/p>\n

And in Ecuador, the Christmas tree is a leafless coffee bush, colourfully adorned with hand-decorated ornaments. Just like in Poland!<\/p>\n

<\/h4>\n

Christmas is a time that, between \"the peak of the Rozsypaniec and the mouth of the Swina River<\/em>\" (copyright Krzysztof Lig\u0119za) are most often spent with family. Christmas Eve supper and gift-giving are only the beginning in Poland. On the next two days of Christmas, either we visit our relatives or our relatives visit us. And during such a visit, it is impossible not to have a good cup of coffee served with all kinds of cakes. We are accompanied by coffee beans<\/strong> for espresso<\/strong>, kawa do filtra, a tak\u017ce te specyfiki stoj\u0105ce nieco dalej od dobrej jako\u015bci kawy.<\/p>\n

You don't choose your coffee when you're a guest, but after all, it's a perfectly valid idea to give a loved one a packet of good coffee as a gift. And let it really be something special, flavoursome, preferably roasted locally. Bells are ringing, belles are jingling.<\/p>\n

Christmas trees in the shop more than in the forest.<\/p>\n

Snowflakes in caps prancing around.<\/p>\n

And I'm off, it makes me want to howl.<\/p>\n

Do we celebrate that God is born<\/p>\n

that we buy more at the market?<\/p>\n

Is that what this is all about?<\/p>\n

Where are you going, mongrel world?<\/p>\n

<\/h4>\n

Because although I don't believe in God at all,<\/p>\n

I believe very strongly in tradition.<\/p>\n

I'll conclude with this,<\/p>\n

straight from the heart and quite frankly,<\/p>\n

That this crib makes me feel hungry,<\/p>\n

and I feel like eating a hamburger.<\/p>\n

Perhaps in a local what's so fashionable?<\/p>\n
