In a remote corner of Huila, under the hot sun of Colombia, the fruit ripens with its striped seeds and rock'n'roll soul.
Collected with the greatest sensitivity and then hidden away in dark rooms to bring out the best.
This is how Colombia Striped Bourbon - Dark Room Natural.
A coffee in which kiwi, pomelo and grape dance together like the wildest jam session of your taste buds.
Ready to enter a world where fermentation becomes an art?

What makes these cherries so special?

Region

In Huila, everything plays in favour of coffee: an altitude of 1550-1700 m, volcanic soil and a microclimate that spoils the plantations.
Coffees from here are like good films - complex, full of layers and emotions, surprising in their freshness and intensity.
There's a reason Huila is the coffee heart of Colombia.

Botanical varieties

Striped Bourbon - a rare, unique variety with striped grains that look like a work of art in themselves.
This natural Bourbon mutata gives coffees full of freshness, vibrant fruitiness and extraordinary delicacy.

Processing method

Dark Room Natural - which is a fermentation carried out in the dark, under the watchful eye of Elkin Guzmán.
The cherries are aged in a special closed room where every parameter is controlled: from temperature to humidity.
The darkness allows maximum juiciness to be extracted from the fruit, turning each batch into a balanced bomb of flavours.

How does it taste in a cup?

Close your eyes and imagine: juicy kiwi exploding with freshness, a soft, sweet pomelo note flowing like golden juice, and to top it all off, an elegant grape finish that lingers on the tongue like a good note after a great concert.
Each sip of this coffee is a fruity symphony encapsulated in a single, energetic cup.

Colombia - the kingdom of coffee

If coffee had its own kingdoms, Colombia would be one of them - and one with a crown adorned with top-grade beans.
The mountains here, the volcanic soils and the ideal climatic conditions create an environment in which the coffee matures slowly and more fully, acquiring a characteristic juiciness, elegance and complexity.
In Colombia, coffee is not just a crop - it is a culture, a tradition and a daily ritual.
Thanks to the wealth of microclimates and varieties, Colombian coffees can surprise: from notes of red fruit and flowers, chocolate and caramel, to exotic twists like that of Striped Bourbon.
Every cup is a journey - and one from which you don't want to return.

The roaster's opinion

Robert Rybczynski

Polish Coffee Roasting Champion 2024

"This coffee is a demonstration of precision at every stage: from variety selection, to fermentation, to the final taste in the cup.
Striped Bourbon yields the beautiful juiciness of kiwi and pomelo, while natural darkroom processing brings out the purity and depth of flavours without over-fermentation.
This is a coffee for those who are looking for a unique balance between freshness and sweetness - and like to discover something more in each successive cup.
